Nowadays
it is difficult to imagine functioning of our life without
technological devices,
especially the smartphones with its all fancy applications, that
undeniably facilitate our life. Thus, we can surely say that, in some
cases, these applications make the alternative to paper books or
notebooks. We can notice, however, some changes in people's habits
concerning using smartphones, who tend to resign, for exemple, from
using their 'notebook' application in favour of the traditional
methods of writing by using a pen and paper. The reasons that push
them towards this anti-smartphone direction is mainly the feeling of
being overwhelmed and addicted by the technology but also they often
find this reach offer of technological tools unsatisfactory by its
content. That is why they are starting to appreciate more the
simplicity and flexibility of this simple pen and paper that give
them some kind of freedom as it eliminates the fear of the supplies
in our battery while making notes or losing files. It also
allows them to dissociate from the virtual world, to doodle or to make
a quick drawing what would be a bit difficult with your smartphone.
Manual writing, in contrast to the smartphone apps, influences also
positively our brain by stimulating it what in consequence developps our
ability to absorb the written information better. The process of
manual creation gives us also a lot of satisfaction as its results
are more touchable, thus, more encouraging but also it provides for
us this simple fun of getting your hands dirty :)
